1. Overview
These Terms of Service apply to work requested from ElectricalGrunt Works LLC, including custom electronics builds, woodworking, 3D printed parts, repair support, evaluation services, prototypes, and related technical services.
2. Quote-Based Work
Most work is handled by quote. A quote request does not guarantee that ElectricalGrunt Works LLC will accept the job. Pricing, timelines, materials, and scope must be reviewed before work begins.
Quotes may change if the project scope changes, measurements are inaccurate, materials change, parts are unavailable, extra labor is required, or new issues are found during evaluation.
3. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information, measurements, photos, drawings, files, part numbers, deadlines, and intended-use details. ElectricalGrunt Works LLC is not responsible for delays, poor fit, or extra costs caused by incomplete or inaccurate customer information.
4. Custom Work and Prototypes
Custom work may involve design time, testing, fitting, revisions, and practical limitations. Prototype or custom-built items may not look or perform exactly like mass-produced products. Minor cosmetic differences, tool marks, print layer lines, wood grain differences, fit adjustments, or material variation may occur.
5. Repair and Evaluation Work
Evaluation or diagnostic work does not guarantee that an item can be repaired. Additional parts, labor, or service may be required after the initial evaluation. ElectricalGrunt Works LLC may decline repairs that are unsafe, impractical, illegal, or outside its capabilities.
6. Payments, Deposits, and Invoices
Some projects may require a deposit before work begins. Deposits may be applied toward the final project cost. Invoices are due according to the payment terms shown on the invoice or quote.
Custom materials, ordered parts, design time, and labor already performed may not be refundable once work has started.
7. Customer-Owned Items
If a customer provides an item for repair, modification, measurement, testing, or fitting, the customer confirms they own the item or have permission to request the work. ElectricalGrunt Works LLC will use reasonable care but is not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, data loss, age-related failure, or issues unrelated to the requested work.
8. Safety and Refused Work
ElectricalGrunt Works LLC may refuse any project that appears unsafe, illegal, hazardous, outside its skill set, outside its tools or equipment, or not a good fit for the business.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, ElectricalGrunt Works LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Liability for any accepted claim is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific service or item at issue.
10. Changes to These Terms
ElectricalGrunt Works LLC may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this website.
